Roussillon of yesteryear, and today
The village of Roussillon stands out, surrounded by ochre cliffs. Almost everywhere, in the middle of the greenery, splashes of colour appear. These are all formed by former quarries.
Just imagine them, a century ago, mining the precious ore, with red dust spreading across the countryside. The ochre market was still flourishing at that time.
