The “Collet Flaqueirol” at Viens

The “Collet de Flaqueirol”, small collar located in the Viens commune, separates the Apt basin from the Céreste-Manosque one. It marks the eastern edge of the ochre massif and the beginning of colored layers.
To the east, towards Céreste, no ochre, westward, toward us, the ochre layer grows in a short distance to reach over than 40 meters thick in Roussillon.
