The Luberon
The Luberon range is a big anticline fold which extends along over than 60 kilometers between Cavaillon and Manosque. In an anticline, rocks layers are folded like a vault. This structure determines the mountain shape.
The Luberon is formed by limestones and clays that give it a soft hummocky appearance.
